Honduras is one of the three main Central American and Caribbean cigar-producing countries, along with Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Danlí is the factory town American smokers hear about most. A Honduran cigar may be a local puro or a blend with an imported wrapper. Corojo seed has a long history in Honduras.
Production moved to Honduras when factories in Nicaragua and elsewhere were disrupted in the 1970s and 1980s. Some of those companies later left, and some stayed. This page does not rank Honduran cigars against those from Estelí or Santiago.
If the band says Honduras, that is where the cigar was made. If it also names the farms where the tobacco was grown, that information is more specific.
