Blend has two honest uses. Inside a factory it is the recipe: which filler grades, which binder, which wrapper, which vintages. On a band it often means the cigar is not a puro — Ecuadorian cover on Nicaraguan filler, or any other mix.
Mixing countries is normal New World practice. The Dominican industry grew up on imported wrappers. That is history, not a confession. See puro vs blend.
A blend is not a tasting wheel. “Earthy blend” is a note. The blend itself is the pile of leaf the roller was handed.
