Natural is the usual word for a brown wrapper that has not been darkened into a maduro or processed into a green candela. On Padrón cigars it is the lighter of the two standard wrappers; the other is maduro. Other companies use “natural” in the same way, to mean the leaf’s ordinary cured color.
It is not a seed. Connecticut, Ecuador Sumatra, Nicaraguan habano, and Dominican leaf can all be sold as natural. The word is used for contrast (natural versus maduro, or natural versus candela), not to name a farm.
When a page on this site says natural wrapper, it means that color, not that the leaf is unprocessed. All premium wrappers are cured and fermented.
