Colorado is the reddish-brown middle of the wrapper color scale: darker than claro but lighter than maduro. Colorado claro and colorado maduro are shop names for the shades on either side of it. These names describe the finished capa (wrapper) after curing and fermentation.
Sun-grown habano wrappers often fall in this color range. So do some Cameroon wrappers, which can have a bumpy, reddish-brown surface. Where a leaf comes from and what color it is are two separate facts.
When a catalog says colorado, it is describing the appearance. Strength, country of origin, and seed variety have to be stated separately if they matter.
