Colorado is the reddish middle: more color than claro, not yet the dark of maduro. Colorado claro and colorado maduro are shop shades on either side of it. The names come from the look of the finished capa, after curing and fermentation.
Sun-grown habano wrappers often land in this neighborhood. So do some Cameroon leaves, which can show a toothy, reddish-brown face. Origin and color are not the same fact.
When a catalog says colorado, read it as appearance. Strength, country, and seed still have to be stated separately if they matter.
