An accordion bunch (sometimes called a book fold) stacks or folds filler leaves so air can still move, then wraps them in binder. It is faster than entubado and, in good hands, just as even.
The fold has to run the length of the cigar. A wad in the middle is not an accordion; it is a plug. Quality control is whether the draw and the burn stay honest after the mold.
Neither method is a tasting note. They are how the blender’s recipe becomes a cylinder.
