A short panatela is a shorter panatela: usually about 4½ to 5 inches long with a ring gauge in the 30s, often about 34–38. It is a quick smoke with the same qualities as other thin cigars: more wrapper in each puff and little room in the bunch.
Manufacturers do not agree on where a short panatela ends and other small sizes begin. Some short, thin cigars are sold as cigarillos, which are often a different, machine-made product. Check the measurements and the label.
See panatela for the main size, and tres petit corona for a short cigar with a slightly wider ring gauge. Size chart: ring gauge and length cheat-sheet.
