The petit corona is a shorter version of the corona: the same slim parejo shape at a shorter length. Typical sizes are about 4½ to 5⅛ inches long with a 40–42 ring gauge. The best-known Cuban version is the Mareva, 129 mm (5⅛ inches) by 42, which Habanos describes as its most popular size. New World sizes vary slightly in both directions.
It is a short smoke, often about half an hour, and because the ring gauge is thin, the wrapper has a strong effect on the flavor. The tres petit corona is smaller, and the classic corona is longer.
