Ecuadorian wrapper

Wiki · Terms · Ecuadorian wrapper

Ecuador’s cloud cover does some of the work that cloth does in Connecticut. That is why Ecuadorian wrapper shows up so often on bands: Connecticut-seed for a shade look, habano-seed for more oil and color, plus other seeds the farms have tried.

The country is the origin. The seed is a separate fact. An Ecuador Connecticut and an Ecuador habano do not smoke like one leaf. Both are wrappers first — sorted for size and elasticity — not filler.

Ecuadorian cover leaf is a New World workhorse. It is not a substitute name for Cameroon or Cuban capa. Credit the farm and the seed when you know them.
